Cork Airport and Cork City Football Club are delighted to confirm details of their new, enhanced partnership. The partnership began in 2012 and has gone from strength to strength.
A new three-year partnership was recently agreed to include the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons, which will see further additions to the existing partnership such as Cork Airport's title branding of friendly fixtures, including the upcoming game when they take on Preston North End.
The Joe Delaney Stand at Turners Cross now bears Cork Airport branding and the Airport is proud to continue its provision of operational and logistical support to the club during the forthcoming Europa League fixtures in July.
Commenting on the news, Head of Communications at Cork Airport, Kevin Cullinane said: "We are absolutely delighted to partner and further expand our great relationship with Cork City FC. They are an integral part of the fabric of Cork life and give so many locals, young and old an outlet of excitement and opportunity. We wish them continued success for the years ahead."
Welcoming the agreement, Paul Deasy, Commercial & Marketing Manager at Cork City FC, said: "As a club, we are very proud to represent our city and county in Ireland and abroad. We are delighted to work with many prestigious Cork institutions, and our partnership with our friends at Cork Airport is a perfect example of two Cork organisations working together."
“While there has been a great relationship between the club and Cork Airport for a number of years now, I am very pleased that we have been able to agree an enhanced, long-term partnership for the next three years. The Airport has always been a great support to the club and a pleasure for us to partner with, and we hope to continue building that relationship even further over the next three years and, hopefully, beyond.”
