Things to do here

Manchester is often considered England’s second city. Home to two famous football teams, the city is also a major cultural centre with the recently revamped Whitworth Art Gallery and Imperial War Museum North just two must see institutions. The Northern Quarter is home to many of the city’s best bars, restaurants and live music venues. Manchester has also been the birthplace of countless bands from Oasis to the Stone Roses and Mancunians are most definitely party people.

To Eat

  1. The Lime Tree in Didsbury is famously focused on producing modern British food. Book well in advance.
  2. MyLahore is a firm favourite with locals and easy to see why. Great food and great service.

To Stay

  1. Located near the Northern Quarter, The Lowry Hotel in Salford is bright and elegant and a favourite of many visiting celebrities.
  2. The Great John Street Hotel is a boutique hotel with a great rooftop garden.

National Football Museum Sports

Manchester is home to two of Europe’s biggest teams but this museum is a great option for all football fans.
