Things to do here

Rennes has been an important centre since Roman times but in recent years it has enjoyed a growing reputation as one of the most desirable cities to live in France. Cobbled streets and colourful buildings dating from the 14th and 15th centuries dominate the city’s historical centre while its narrow streets are home to cafes and quirky shops. With its easy marriage between modernity and small town Breton charm, it's no surprise that L’Express named Rennes the ‘most liveable city’ in all of France in 2012.
