About East Midlands:

The East Midlands region of the United Kingdom offers a variety of activities and attractions.   Explore Nottingham where you can visit the castle and learn about its history and enjoy panoramic views of the city.  Visit the historic Lace Market area, stroll along the scenic Nottingham canal and discover the legend of Robin Hood at Sherwood Forest. Take a trip to Derby where you can visit the Derby Museum and Art Gallery which houses a collectio of fine art and artifacts. 

While you are there, enjoy a stroll along the River Derwent and explore the picturesque Darley Park. The East Midlands is also home to part of the stunning Peak District.  Explore the picturesque landscapes, hike along scenic trails and visit charming villages such as bakewell and Castleton.  Don’s miss the dramatic views from Stanage Edge or the impressive Chatsworth House. Experience the National Space Centre located in Leicester which is an interactive museum dedicated to space exploration and is also home to the UK’s largest planetarium.

The Monsal Trail Activity

The Monsal Trail is a traffic free route for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales.

Mam Tor Circular Walk Activity

The Mam Tor circular walk with its stone surfaced footpath from the car park to the top of Mam Tor will reward walkers with one of the most dramatic vistas in the Peak District.
