About Manchester:

Manchester is often considered England’s second city. Home to two famous football teams, the city is also a major cultural centre with the recently revamped Whitworth Art Gallery and Imperial War Museum North just two must see institutions. The Northern Quarter is home to many of the city’s best bars, restaurants and live music venues. Manchester has also been the birthplace of countless bands from Oasis to the Stone Roses and Mancunians are most definitely party people.

National Football Museum Sports

Manchester is home to two of Europe’s biggest teams but this museum is a great option for all football fans. 

Manchester Cathedral Cultural

Refurbished and remodelled in the 19th century but the cathedral dates back to 1215 with evidence of an early Saxon Church from around 700. 

The Imperial War Museum Historical

The northern branch of the famous museum - comprehensive and engaging.
